Robert A. Barnes

Robert A. “Bob” Barnes, 76, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born on May 9, 1946, in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Henry and Marian Barnes.

Bob loved spending time with his family, especially children, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was a loving and giving person who touched many lives. He loved taking pictures, collecting cars, and watching movies.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Cherie Barnes and sister, Debby Knight.

Robert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Shannon Barnes, daughter and son-in-law, Cheyenne and Ernie Kingsbury, his 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Sam Miller, brother, Edward Barnes, and many nieces and nephews.

A Time of Visitation will be held for family and friends on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 12pm-2:00pm at Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Cox officiating.
