Kermit LaBarr Obituary

Kermit A. LaBarr, 69, of Sayre, PA went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA following a brief illness. He was born on April 29, 1945 in Ithaca, NY, the son of the late Howard and Nellie Hoose LaBarr. Kermit loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was formerly employed by Douglas Brothers Paving. Kermit was a collector of miniature tractors and stautes of animals. He loved being outside enjoying the nice weather. He is predeceased by his sister Louise Carter, brother-in-law Russell Ike, and nephew Tony Ike.
Kermit is survived by his wife of 46 years Margaret at home, Carrie and John McKean of Ulster, PA, Rachel and Chris Ishman of Blades, DE, and Nellie LaBarr of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Amanda Philpot, Jennifer Matthews, Russell Matthews, Andrea Young, Ryan Burlingame, Eric Ishman, Autumn McCracken, Austin McCracken, and Daniel LaBarr, 2 great-grandchildren Tyler and Ethan, siblings Jane Ike of Lodi, NY, Marge Stanton of Ithaca, NY, Carol Seaman of Newfield, NY, and Arlene of Newfield, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014at 6:30pm at the Waverly Nazarene Church, 310 Chemung Street, Waverly, NY. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
