Ava T. Merrill

Ava T. Merrill, 8 months, of Barton, NY passed away on March 17, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born on July 8, 2014 in Elmira, NY the daughter of Michael Merrill and Brittanie Farr. Ava loved spending time with her big sister Oliviah. She loved to swing and listening to music.
She is predeceased by her maternal great-grandparents Veronica and Doug Shaffer, paternal great-grandmother Inez Merrill, maternal uncle Tim Farr, and paternal aunt Cindy Merill. Ava is survived by her parents Michael Merrill and Brittanie Farr of Barton, NY, sister Oliviah Merrill of Barton, NY, maternal grandmother Kim Place of Waverly, NY, maternal grandfather Todd Place of Waverly, NY, maternal grandfather John Farr of Laceyville, PA, paternal grandfather and grandmother Michael and Rita Merrill of Waverly, NY, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1pm with the Rev. Anne Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
