Allan Robert Frisk

Allan Robert Frisk, 93, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, at Robert Packer Hospital. Allan was born March 5, 1932, in Elmira, NY, the

son of the late Raymond and Alta (Johnson) Frisk.

He met his wife, Janet, at Mansfield University. They were married on June 29, 1963 and loved each other deeply for nearly 62 years.

Allan served in the Army as a Specialist, 4th Class. He was a graduate of Mansfield University with a Bachelor Degree in Education. He taught American History and

Civics for many years at Waverly High School and was selected as Teacher of the Year by the students. He was a realtor and owner of his own business. He was

excellent at gardening and always had a bountiful crop. Allan enjoyed college basketball and football and was once a kicking coach at Penn State Coaches Clinic.

He loved John Deere tractors and equipment. He was interested in politics and was a frequent writer to his congressmen on topics that were important to him.

He was an active member of the Sayre Christian Church, serving as a choir member, deacon, elder, and board member. Most important to him was his

relationship with Jesus Christ and his assurance of salvation through Him. Allan loved his family dearly and cherished the times that they gathered together.

He loved helping and serving other people.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Eugene Goodreau.

Allan is survived by his wife, Janet Willson Frisk, his sister, Maysie Joan Goodreau, his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Deb Frisk, his daughter and son-in-law,

Colleen and Todd Warren, his granddaughters, Elizabeth Frisk, Abigail Warren, Leah (Frisk) Gosik (husband: Carter Gosik), and Molly Warren, his great-grandson,

Wesley Gosik, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service for Allan will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 11 AM at the Sayre Christian Church, 427 S. Keystone Ave, Sayre, PA. A receiving line will be held after the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home, Athens, PA.
