Wendy Patricia (Brown) Brown

Wendy Patricia Brown, 67, of Athens, PA, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Robert Packer Hospital.

She was born April 28, 1957, the first born to Earl M. and Patricia (Wiggins) Brown. She was raised in Liberty Corners, helping out as needed on the family dairy farm.

Wendy was a graduate of Towanda Area High School, Class of 1975. After graduation, she attended Mansfield University, where she decided her true calling was nursing. She was accepted into the Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1982. She joined the nursing staff at Robert Packer Hospital in August of 1982, during which time she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Elmira College in 1992, and studied for her Master’s Degree at Syracuse University. Wendy worked in many capacities at Robert Packer Hospital until declining health forced her to retire.

Wendy enjoyed singing in the church choir, and singing at many wedding ceremonies. She was an avid reader, loved shopping, and collecting pink depression glass.

She is predeceased by her parents; Earl M. and Patricia Brown, and her sister; Janet Natalie Brown.                  

Wendy is survived by her sister; Laurie (Harry) Kinsman, her sister; Darlene R. Reynolds, and her brother; David E. Brown, nephews; Eric (Renee) Kinsman, Dane (Naomi) Kinsman, Christopher (Sara) Bailey and Corey (Krista) Bailey, six great nephews and 2 great nieces.

Abiding by Wendy’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are being made by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
