Valerie M. Schrader, 45, of Wysox, PA passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Valerie was born February 16,1981, at the Towanda Memorial Hospital.
Valerie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She was a woman who truly embraced life, finding joy in the little things and sharing that joy with everyone around her. Known for her vibrant spirit and sense of fun, she had a way of bringing light into any room and making others feel at home.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the way she made people feel, seen, and loved. Her laughter, her smile, warmth, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Valerie enjoyed crafting, crocheting, her animals and being with her family. Many hours were spent enjoying time with the Twin Tier Antique Tractor Association which she and her family were active members of.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother; Winifred Jennings Wood, grandfather; Martin Smith, and father; Darrell Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband; Scott Schrader, daughters; Dorien (Caleb) Padgett, Adriana Bennici and Rylee Schrader, sons; Gaije Padgett, Brett Schrader, and Scotty Schrader, mother and step-father; Deb and Rod Manley, step-mother; Ann Smith, grandmother; June Smith, sisters; Crystal (BJ) Bailey, Sam (Logan) Smith, Mandy Manley and Tammy (Jorge) Ramos, brothers; Kurt (Kelsie) Smith, James Kautz and Jon (Molly) Kautz, sisters-in-law; Melanie (Garrett) Douglas and Melissa (Matthew) Sklarkowski, granddaughter; Paisley Clark as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Donations may be made in her honor to the: Twin Tier Antique Tractor Association at 28083 Rt 187 Wysox PA, or Bradford County Humane Society at PO Box 179 Ulster PA 18850.
A Time of Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
