Timothy H. Houseknecht

Timothy H. “Timmy” Houseknecht, 37, of Athens, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born on October 20, 1986, in Sayre, PA, the son of Richard B. and Brenda (Greene) Houseknecht.

Timmy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the family cookouts. He loved spending time outside and one of his favorite times of the year was celebrating the 4th of July and watching the fireworks. He loved driving truck and simply going for rides with his radio turned up, especially during Christmas, listening to all the holiday music.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and collected guns. Timmy was a great jokester and it didn’t take long at family picnics, holidays, or gatherings that you would be the subject of one of his many pranks.

He is predeceased by his father; Richard B. Houseknecht, and his brother Joseph B. Houseknecht.

Timothy is survived by his mother; Brenda Greene Houseknecht, the love of his life; Sara George, sons; Caleb Houseknecht and Carter Houseknecht, daughter; Khloe Houseknecht, sister and brother-in-law; Melissa and Eddie Schlosser and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a celebration of Timmy’s life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
