Thomas Rittter

Thomas Ritter, 71, of Elmira, NY passed away Sunday February 16, 2025 at Vincent’s House Hospice in Wayland, NY.

He was born July 15, 1953, in Elmira, NY the son of the late Thomas H. and Mary (Antenore) Ritter. 

Thomas was fond of antique cars.  His favorite was the Packard.  Thomas looked forward to outings at the Coldbrook Club.  He enjoyed meeting friends at local taverns.  Thomas was known for providing his famous “Hot Dog Meat Sauce” for community events. 

He is predeceased by his wife Barbara, brother Gerard, sisters Mary Anne, and Tina and step mother Irene Cassetta-Ritter.  Thomas is survived by his brother Josef (Toni V.) Ritter and best friend/advocate Jay Moylan, nephew William (Corry) Derschang, great niece Loralei, great nephew Jakob Derschang, and numerous cousins in Syracuse and Elmira.

A memorial is being planned for the spring of 2025.
