Stanley "Stan" E. White

Stanley E. “Stan” White, 69, of Athens, PA, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Robert Packer Hospital.

He was born on March 19, 1955, in Sayre, PA, the son of Joseph J. and Sarah (Rogers) White.

Stan was a graduate of Athens Area High School, Class of 1973. He loved spending time with his grandson. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an avid Washington Redskin and NASCAR fan. Stan was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #907.

He is predeceased by his father; Joseph J. White, sister; Joann Moore, and brother; Joseph White, Jr.

Stanley is survived by his sons; Jacob White and Brett White, his grandson; Archer White, mother; Sarah White, sister; Bip White, brother and sister-in-law; Ric “Slip” and Penny White, aunts; Virginia White, Virginia Rogers, and Geraldine Young, nieces and their spouses; Michelle and Jacob Lantz, Danelle and Neil Wheaton, and Ashley and Scott Combs, nephew; Cody White, great-nephews; Joseph Parshall and Lou Combs, great-niece; Hannah Parshall, and several cousins. 

Friends and family may call on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10am to 11am at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home at 11am with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.

Burial will follow in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
