Sheila Crossett Obituary

Sheila S. Crossett, 80, of Ulster, PA, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at following an extended illness.

She was born on October 12, 1943, in Towanda, PA, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Nesbit) Shaffer.

Sheila loved her family dearly, especially loved spending time with them. She was an awesome cook and loved cooking family meals. She enjoyed taking family trips to Canada and Barclay Mountain in her early years. Sheila also loved just taking long rides, especially traveling the back roads and ending up in different places. On many occasions, she would end up in Forksville and Overton to visit with family. She could be seen many times on her rides, stopping and picking up 5-cent cans, which helped to fund her love of flea markets and yard sales. Sheila enjoyed eating out and had a large collection of Indian dolls.

In addition to her parents, Sheila is predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law John and Pat Shaffer, brother-in-law John VanDeMark, and her dog Buddy.

Sheila is survived by her children Michael Crossett, James (Cindy) Crossett, David (Kathy) Crossett, Holly (Chris) Jennings, grandchildren Stephanie Crossett, Tabitha Crossett, Ethan Crossett, and Rylan Blow, great grandchildren Wyatt, Koltyn, Felicity, and Jace, sisters Gail (Paul)0 VanDeMark, Ann (Don) Burgess, special niece Christina (Victor) Colavito, several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special friend Nick.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date. The family is being assisted by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
