Rosemary J. “Rosie” Proctor, 77, of Sayre, PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 5, 2024.
She was born on July 29, 1946, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late James W. and Ina (Lattimer) Frisbie.
Rosemary was a Hairdresser for many years, where her shop was in her home. She would visit with all her customers, shared coffee and tea with them, and also did cut their hair. She then went to work for Wal-Mart in the Fabric Department, recently retiring after 29 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful Christian who loved to help anyone at any given time. Her kindness was always present in her, and many would say she was a gentle soul who cared for others and that everyone she met became her friend. She loved her home, being sure everything was always tended to, and took much care with her flowers and yard. Rosemary loved going to Tioga Downs with her friends to have dinner and play her $20, she would tell you. She enjoyed music, dancing, and doing crafts.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law James E. and Catherine Frisbie and son-in-law Gary Powers.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter Ruth Ann Powers, granddaughter Julie Powers and her husband Bobby, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Sherry Frisbie, brother Charlie Frisbie, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends that loved her and will miss her.
A Time of Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:30pm at the funeral home with her lifelong friend, Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
