Ronald "Ron" Miner Obituary

Ronald S. “Ron” Miner, 58, of Waverly, NY, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

He was born on June 30, 1962, in Sayre, PA, the son of Delmar Miner and Diane Campbell Jayne.

Ron was a devoted family man, he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed tinkering on many different projects, working in his yard and cooking. He loved to go camping and boating. He was employed with Stroehmann Bakery and was a Delivery Driver for Frito Lay. Ron enjoyed bowling.

He is predeceased by his father Charlie Jayne, brother-in-law Richard Smith, maternal grandparents Victor and Dorothy Campbell, paternal grandparents Delmar and Frances Miner and Larry and Gladys Jayne, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Lloyd and Joyce Smith.

Ron is survived by his spouse Luann Smith Miner, son and daughter-in-law Blaine S. and Theresa Olmsted, daughters Heather M. Miner and Cara E. Miner, grandchildren Madelyn Olmsted, Bryden Miner, Mackenzie Olmsted, Natalia Gorton, Marlise Olmsted, Christian Welch, Leighannah Welch, Aria Miner, and Mattias Olmsted. He is also survived by his mother Diane Jayne, sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Fran Kabes, brother and sister-in-law Mike and Kelly Miner, sister Vickie Powell, brothers and sisters-in-law Steve and Jen Jayne and Dave and Darnell Jayne, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may call on Saturday October 31, 2020 from 12pm to 1:30pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A private service will be held for the family.
