Robert D. Dean

Robert D. Dean, age 55, of Waverly, NY, passed away on April 24, 2025 at the Robert Packer Hospital after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer.

He was born on December 18, 1969 in Ithaca, NY, the son of the late Rose Dean.

Robert loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family.  He enjoyed working in his yard, fishing and racing BMX bikes and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by the love of his life, Evelyn VanBoven; daughter, Caytlyn Dean; step-children, Rebecca Jamison, Teala Hugo, Emily Garrity, Nathan Garrity and Adrianna Moe; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Timothy Sessaman; grandmother, Mae Corey; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Lowery-Urban Funeral Home to help with Robert’s final expenses.
