Paul Leslie Satterly

Paul Leslie Satterly, 69, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born on July 24, 1954, in Sayre, PA, to the late Robert Paul and Vivian Lucille (Oswalt) Satterly.

Paul was employed with Ingersoll Rand in Athens for many years and then was transferred to one of their divisions in Mattoon, IL. While working there he met his wife Sharon, and they married in 2003. He remained in the area after his wife passed in 2008 until his mother, Vivian became ill and he came home to help his brother and his family care for her in 2011.

He was an avid hunter and was a Lifetime Member of the Sayre Sportsman Club, serving as a Director of the Club. Paul loved being a part of the club, shooting skeet and trap. After his mother’s passing, he loved traveling to many different places with his brother Mike and family. There wasn’t a flea market he missed and every Monday he could be seen at the Stockyards Flea Market making many purchases. His breakfast club friends met at Burger King and Wendy’s and he will be missed by all those and the stories that were shared during those times.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Sharon.

Paul is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Michael and Deborah Satterly, special nephews Stephen Satterly and Bryan Satterly, his wife Nicole and their son Rhett, daughter Alta (Michael DeLaRosa) King, son Rob (Kasey) Farmer, grandchildren Patrick Mayhugh, Rylan Farmer, and Madyx Farmer. He is also survived by his aunts June Satterly, Joyce Satterly, and Joan LoVecchio, uncle Frederick Satterly, his cousins he spent a lot of time with; Karen Wood, Cindy Miller, Mark LoVecchio and their families, cousins Dan (Krista) Satterly, Kelly (Derr) Schwartzhoff, Ed (Tina) Satterly, Rich (Denise) Satterly, Bill (Rebecca) Satterly, Joe (Penny) Satterly, John (Jackie) Satterly, David Satterly, Laurie Satterly, Bev (Lloyd) Correll, and Gail Hotchkiss and their families. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 11am-1pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home at 1pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
