Paul C. Cummings

Paul C. Cummings, 85, of Athens, PA, passed away on February 2, 2026, at Robert Packer Hospital, following an extended illness.

He was born on September 4, 1940, in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Paul and Theda (White) Cummings.

Paul was a train enthusiast, and turned his enthusiasm into a career, retiring after 40 plus years of service with the railroad. He enjoyed playing video games, hunting and fishing. Paul loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, taking them on numerous road trips.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 4 children.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Joyce Steckervetz Cummings, 13 children, numerous grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Time of Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 S. Main St., Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Nacci officiating.
