Patricia D. Johnson, 91, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
She was born on November 7, 1934, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of Frank and Evelyn (Wolcott) DeSisti.
Patricia loved cooking Italian food for her family, especially her famous meatballs. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and going out for coffee. She also enjoyed listening to music and cleaning.
She is predeceased by her son; Franklyn McCarty, brothers; Harold “Sonny” Brown and Bernard “Bun” DeSisti, sisters; Jean Pierce and Marilyn “Tiny” Robinson, brothers and sisters-in-law. Joseph “Joe” and Bobbi DeSisti and Frank “Skip” and Bernice DeSisti, and brother-in-law; August “Augie” Gallagher.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years; Donald T. Johnson, son and daughter-in-law Donald and Debbie McCarty, daughter and son-in-law; Connie and Fred Gregory, son and daughter-in-law; David and Cindy McCarty, daughter and son-in-law; Michelle and Mark Rae, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, sisters; Leona “Doni” DeSisti and Jaqueline “Jackie” Gallagher, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11am-1pm on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main St., Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
