Pamela A. “Pam” Gleason, 80, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, January 31, 2025.
She was born on January 9, 1945, in Watford Herts, England, the daughter of the late Robert and Violet (Winch) Webster. At the age of 1, she made the long journey to America on the original Queen Mary with her family.
Pam’s greatest love in life was her family and friends, being with them always brought her joy. She had a friendly, outgoing personality and a contagious smile that whenever you were around her you couldn’t help but smile along with her no matter how your day was going. Her sister, Linda, whom she lived with, together they loved taking their daily walks with their dog, Tinker, checking out all that was going on in the neighborhood.
She was a 1963 graduate of Athens Area High School, forever a Bulldog. Pam was a OR Transporter at Robert Packer Hospital, retiring following many years of service. Her favorite sports teams were the Dallas Cowboys and The New York Yankees. She enjoyed relaxing in her recliner doing her world find puzzles. Pam also loved to go out to breakfast with Linda at the local restaurants in the Valley, meeting up with friends and having their gossip sessions.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husbands; Jack Richart and Andrew Gleason, sister; Gale Haggerty, and brother-in-law Walter Richart.
Pam is survived by her daughter; Nicole Waltman, son; Robert Waltman; grandchildren; Tiffany Senese, Jessica Avery, and Desirae Kizale, her 6 beautiful great-grandchildren, sisters; Linda Webster who was her caregiver, Virginia Williams, Terry Baker, and Carol Brown, brothers; Steve Webster and Rick Webster, several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, brother-in-law; Michael Richart, sisters-in-law; Pat Washburn and Linda Packer.
A Time of Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 11am-12pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12p at the funeral home.
