Orind “Joe” Donald Dibble, Jr., 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre.
He was born on March 16, 1946 in Towanda, PA, the son of the late Orind D., Sr. and Marjorie (Northrup) Dibble.
Joe owned and operated Dibble Disposal, working alongside his son, Jody. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe’s love for woodworking was evident in the care he took making each item. He especially enjoyed making model vehicles, and he loved sharing that knowledge with his son and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and salmon fishing. One of his favorite things to do in the past was playing Skip-Bo card games with his wife, Connie.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years Constance “Connie” Dibble, sister Donna Hugo, brothers-in-law Leo Harris, Donald Silk, Andy Yaple, and William Place.
Orind is survived by son and daughter-in-law Orind D. “Jody” III and Sue Dibble, grandson Casey Dibble, grandson and his wife Zackery and Kelsey Dibble, grandson Orind “Jay” D. Dibble IV, great-grandchildren Layla Dibble, Olivia Dibble, Lily Dibble, Liam Dibble, Grant Robinson, Rohan Dibble, and Evalynn Dibble. He is also survived by his sister Margie Yaple, sister and brother-in-law Sharron and Walt Brown, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Linda Dibble, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2pm- 3pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm at the funeral home with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
