Nancy L. (Ehlers) Sutherland

Nancy L. Sutherland, 82, of S. Waverly, PA, passed away following a brief illness, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at home with her family and friends by her side.

She was born on January 18, 1944 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the Willard and Marjorie (Mann) Ehlers.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Robert Sutherland and son-in-law, Ken Beers.

Nancy was an avid reader and Notre Dame fan.  She loved traveling, especially with her late husband, Bob, going to Seneca Lake and spending time with her family and friends. Nancy enjoyed playing Skat, Dominions and Wii Bowling with her friends.  She had a distinctive voice and laugh and was well known for her sassiness.

She is survived by her children; Jennifer Minch, Julie and her husband, Scott Turkel, Kellee Beers and Mark Sutherland and his partner, Amilcar Barreto; grandchildren, Connor, Zachary, Megan, Abigail, Justin and Cooper; great grandchild, Scarlett and numerous best friends that were like family to her.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Andrea Seymour and Karen Steed for the support they gave to Nancy throughout her illness.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
