Michael Joseph Geiss

Michael Joseph Geiss, 45, of Sayre, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

He was born on February 24, 1979, in Sayre, PA, the son of Matthew Geiss and Cynthia (Smith) Witman.  

Michael was a Veteran of the US Army. He was an avid fan of Star Wars, and enjoyed computer and video games.

Michael is predeceased by his grandparents; Joseph and Doris Smith and Watson and Patricia Geiss.

Michael is survived by his son; Jayden Geiss, father; Matthew Geiss, mother; Cynthia Witman, sister; Tabitha Geiss, uncle; Jeffrey Geiss, aunt; Sheila Covey, former spouse; Tammy Geiss, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

Burial will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
