Mary Jane Ross (Wademan) Forrest

Mary Jane Ross (Wademan) Forrest, 79, of Athens, PA, passed away at Robert Packer Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 following a brief illness.

She was born on January 12, 1946, in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the late Clayton and Elizabeth (Burrus) Wademan.

Mary Jane loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to bake and crochet. In her youth, she grew up on a farm, and enjoyed riding horses.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Jerry Lee Forrest, son, Thomas Forrest, sister, Nancy Clark, and brother, Paul Wademan.

Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Jerry, Arthur, John, Charles, and Christopher Forrest, and 7 grandchildren.

A Time of Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Nacci officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
