Mary E. (Harding) Holbert

Mary E. Holbert, 85, of Rome, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on June 17, 1939, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Spencer and Mary (Sperduti) Harding.

Mary loved watching game shows and soap operas on TV. She enjoyed going shopping.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son; Nester Thomas Holbert, Jr. and brother; Spencer Harding.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years; Nester Thomas Holbert, Sr., children; Melinda (Steven) Carrington and Timothy (Thomas) Holbert, grandchildren; Brandy (Matthew) Ingram and Kristi (Trey) Sloan, and great-grandchildren; Ethan Ingram, Brody Sloan, and Iggy Sloan. She is also survived by her sisters; Eloise (Lee Ripley) Congdon, Patricia (Joseph) Miles, and Kathleen (Mike) Juda, several nieces and nephews and brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Albert and Phyllis Holbert.

Friends and Family may call on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 10:00am – 11:00am at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Blessing Service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00am with the Rev. Daniel Toomey officiating.

Burial will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
