Mary Aylmer Obituary

Mary D. Aylmer, 67, of Waverly, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Robert Packer Hospital.

Mary was an Athens High School graduate, Class of 1976. Mary was a free spirit with a huge heart whose love for life, nature, angels, and crystals shone brightly in everything she did. She greeted each day with open arms and an open mind, finding magic in the smallest moments and sharing her generous spirit with friends and family alike.

Above all, Mary’s life was defined by the joy she took in loving her children and grandchildren, and spending time with them was her priority. She delighted in their milestones, offered a listening ear (or a perfectly timed joke) when needed, and made sure every gathering felt like home. Her caring nature and lighthearted humor created countless cherished memories that will continue to warm the family she loved so deeply. Mary will be lovingly reunited with her daughter Jessie, and her light will live on through all those she held dear.

Her faithful fur baby, Precious, was her constant companion, and a good time was always to be had whenever her presence was near. With many nicknames, ranging from Mama Mare Mare to WonderDud, it was clear her vibrant, larger-than-life personality filled every room with laughter and warmth.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Jessica Kuhn and mother, Norma Duddie.

Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tegan and Philip Williams, son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Fanni Aylmer, grandchildren, Jadan, Rowan, Henley, and Kilian.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
