Marion (Brown) Pond

Marion Brown Pond, 77, of Sarasota, FL (formerly of Sayre, PA), went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Marion was born January 22, 1946 in Eleanor, WV.

Marion was an employee of the Citizens and Northern Bank in Athens, PA for 35 years. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and her faith in God.

Marion loved to attend her churches, Greater Valley Assembly of God in Athens, PA and Happy Gospel Church in Bradenton, FL. She loved to read, go for car rides, go to the beach, listen to live music, and spend as much time as possible with her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert C. Pond Sr, her parents, Ronald and Emogene Brown, mother Marguerite Angelo, brother Ronald Brown Jr. (Brother), sisters Marlene Egnor and Trudie Angelo, brothers-in-law Paul Egnor, Ronald Pond, Donald Pond Jr, and William Talada, sisters-in-law Margret Pond and Louise Pond, and her daughter lost in infancy.

Survived by her sister Dona (Tom) Mowry of Tampa, FL and brother Gary Angelo of Tampa, FL, brother-in-law George Pond, sister-in-law Grace Pond, sons Robert Pond Jr of Ashland, PA and Christopher (Deborah) Pond of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Kristen (Chris) Stone of Sayre, PA, Jennifer (Tyler) Spencer of Sayre, PA, Robert Pond III of Ashland, PA, Charles Miner III of Sayre, PA, Ashley (Dylan) Parrish of Sayre, PA, Ryan Johnson, and Andrew Johnson, great grandchildren Trinity, Arabella, Lucas, Nehemiah, Savannah, Alianna, Xander, Adleigh, Ryleigh, Devyn, and Dustin, special friends Barbara and Bill Clark of Sarasota, FL and Jim and Martha Bailey of Athens, PA as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Time of Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 11am-12pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 12pm with Rev. Chris Gray officiating.

Burial will follow at Bradford County Memorial Park, Towanda, PA.
