Marilyn R. Jungers, 82, of Athens Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Sayre Health Care Center following an extended illness.
She was born on January 11, 1941, in South Waverly, PA, the daughter of the late Alton and Martha (Brown) Annabel.
Marilyn was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn enjoyed going to Tioga Downs, traveling, and collecting antiques.
She is predeceased by her son Hugo Jungers, and sisters Donna Tallman, Beverly Moore, and Doris Wilkinson.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years Nick Jungers, son and daughter-in-law Steve and Sheri Jungers, daughter and son-in-law Julie and Brian Carter, 5 grandchildren, sisters Clara Larrabee, Sandra Burke, and Bernita Annabel, brothers Stuart Annabel and Chuck Annabel, and several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel, 3418 Chapel Road, Milan, PA with Fr. Daniel Toomey officiating.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
