Margaret "Midge" R. (Lehr) Wisniewski

Margaret R. “Midge” Wisniewski, 92, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully at her cherished home of 65 years on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

She was born February 29, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late William E. and Margaret (Powers) Lehr.

Midge particularly loved opening her home and entertaining so many families, friends and neighbors through the years. Midge also cherished going on her annual excursion to Ocean City, MD with her extended family. She was adamant about attending her grandchildren’s many activities including many football games, motocross events, dance and horseback riding. She enjoyed taking cruises through the years with her many friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and frequent trips to the Casino with her sister and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband; Leo Z. Wisniewski, Jr., sister Janet Tomasso, and step-mother Betty Horn Lehr.

Margaret is survived by her son; Leo Z. Wisniewski III,  son and daughter-in-law; Stephen and Holly Wisniewski, grandchildren; Zachary (Jackie) Wisniewski, Paige (fiancé Ethan Calkins) Wisniewski, Alec Wisniewski, Brady Wisniewski, and Sydney Wisniewski, sister; Charlotte Sweeney, cousin; Donald (Ann) Stubbs and many nieces and nephews.

A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 5pm – 7pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10am at the Church of the Epiphany, 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA.

Burial will follow in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
