Manuel Campbell Obituary

Manuel F. “Pat” Campbell, 74, of Sayre, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on July 27, 2026, at his home.

He was born on February 25, 1952, in Springfield, OH, the son of the late Warren Bishop Campbell and Betty (Bouse) Lyons.

A 1970 graduate of Athens High School, Pat proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Athens American Legion Post 246. After his time in the service, he received his Bachelor's degree from Mansfield University. He worked at Ingersoll Rand for several years and then went on to finish his career as a computer specialist for Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. Pat was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Towanda, PA where he did clerical work for the church for many years.

He was a coach for the Athens Little League and a Stats Keeper for the Athens High School Football Team. Pat had a love for sports and was an avid fan of the Athens Wildcats, Penn State Football, and New York Giants and Yankees.

Pat was a previous volunteer with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed music and art. He especially had love for gardening and one of his favorite things to do was plant flower beds with his wife, Sharon. Pat took great pride in having a beautiful home and worked very hard to maintain the perfect yard. His favorite part of his home was his garage where you could find him tinkering about or woodworking. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandfather (Gramp), and brother.

In addition to his parents, Pat is predeceased by his grandson Bryce S. Campbell; brothers John Campbell and Joe Lyons; and sister Margaret Babcock.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sharon (Merrill) Campbell; children Kevin B. Campbell of Syracuse, NY, Colleen D. Campbell and Eric L. Campbell, both of Athens, PA; grandchildren Kailee Campbell, Riley Campbell, Tori Brumbaugh, Quinn Johnson, Avie Johnson, and Carter Campbell; great-grandson Brayden Campbell; brothers Carey Lyons and Dan Lyons; sister Mary Kidd and her husband, Scott; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
