Lyle E. Selberg

Lyle E. Selberg, 88, of Sayre, PA passed away at home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 following an extended illness.

He was born on April 22, 1936, in International Falls, MN, the son of the late Elmer and Evelyn (Peterson) Selberg.

Lyle was a Veteran of the US Navy. Following his time in the service, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bemidji College in MN. Lyle started his career as an Accountant for the IRS before moving into the Furniture Industry. After retiring, he spent time serving with the VFW Honor Guard in Mt. Home, AR and volunteering for the Food Bank.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 60 years; Eileen G. Selberg and his sister; Shirley.

Lyle is survived by his children; Diane (Jeff) Smith, Brian (Kim Richert) Selberg, grandchildren; Lindsey (Damien) Benoit, Andrew (Angela) Smith, and Megan Rickert, great-granddaughter; Melora Smith, and his sister; Viki Gust.

Following Lyle’s wishes, there will be no services. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Athens, PA.
