Linda S. (Wheeler) O'Donnell

Linda S. Wheeler O’Donnell, 74, of Waverly, NY passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her home with her family and close friend, Wanda, by her side following a brief illness.

She was born on October 26, 1949 in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Donald “Red” and Alberta “Pete” (Parks) Wheeler.

Linda was pre-deceased by her parents Donald “Red” and Alberta “Pete” Wheeler and her son, Michael P. Condame.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John O’Donnell whom she married on June 28, 2019; sisters Donna (husband, Rick) Bennett of CA, Terrie (husband, Dave) Lawrence of Victor, NY; brothers Ronald (wife, Luitgard) Wheeler of Germany, David (wife, Barb) Wheeler of Waverly, NY and Thomas Wheeler of Sayre, PA; grandsons Cody Ryan of CO and Michael Condame of AZ; nephew, who was like a son to her Christopher (wife, Shelly) Saxon of Sayre, PA; sister-in-law Nioma Whitmire of Sayre, PA; brother-in-law James (wife, Joanne) Condame of Waverly, NY; special friends Kurt and Wanda Knapp; also survived by many nieces and nephews throughout the United States and Germany.

Linda was a lifelong resident of Waverly, NY.  She enjoyed country music, gardening, flowers, feeding the birds and her chipmunks who she named Chip and Dale.  She loved cooking, spending time with her family especially at the holidays when she would make big meals for all to enjoy.   Linda baby sat many children for family and friends throughout the years.  She enjoyed all the wood crafting projects that her husband John would do, often working right alongside him.

At the convenience of the family, services will be held at a later date.
