Lewis "Buck" B. (Sr.) Prough

Lewis B. "Buck" Prough, Sr., 83, of Ulster, PA, passed away on March 24, 2026 at UPMC, Harrisburg.

He was born on September 6, 1942 in Towanda, PA, the son of the late Wilbert and Aneda (Northrup) Prough.

Lewis was a Proud Veteran of the US Army, serving as Military Police and training Service Dogs. He was a Machinist at Ingersoll Rand, retiring after many faithful years of employment. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Edward Prough, brother, Charles Prough, and granddaughter, Katelyn Rowe.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Anna M. (Clift) Prough, sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Mary Prough, Lewis, Jr. and Lynda Prough, and Douglas and Shannon Prough, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Linda LeBlanc, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Time of Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
