Laura C. (Allen) Carlin

Laura C. Carlin, 78, of Athens, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on April 15, 1946, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Edward and Charleen (Post) Allen.

Laura was a very good seamstress, and loved crocheting and gardening. She always looked forward to her yearly trips with her friends, Linda McFarland and Julee Huss.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband; Gary Carlin, granddaughter; Jessi Baker, and grandson; Michael Carlin, Jr.

Laura is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kelly Carlin; daughter and son-in-law, Jenni and Jeff Baker; son, Louis Carlin; daughter, Yvonne Carlin; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Colin Cole; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dora Carlin; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William and Milly Allen; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Kevin Lessig; brother-in-law, John Carlin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Following Laura’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Round Top Park. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
