Lance E. Bowman, 39, of Lockwood, NY, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center, Westchester, NY following an extended illness.
He was born on June 13, 1984, in Ocala, FL, the son of Edward and Terri (Ludwig) Bowman.
Lance loved his family dearly, spending time with them was a priority for him, and especially being with his nephews and nieces, which to them was their uncle “LaLa”. As it was always said by him, “Family isn’t an important thing, it is our everything.”
He enjoyed fishing, loved movies, and playing all types of board games (which when it was Monopoly a fight always ensued), and cards. He also enjoyed drawing, cooking, loved all animals (especially his dogs), and was always willing to talk about life with anyone.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lois J. and Richard L. Ludwig, paternal grandparents Elizabeth Jean and Edward A. Bowman, and his loving companion his dog “Aires”.
Lance is survived by his parents Edward and Terri Bowman of Lockwood, NY, sister and brother-in-law Deanna and Scott Dashler of Lockwood, NY, brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Merranda Bowman of Lockwood, NY, and Adam and Donna Woodward of Greenwood, FL. He is also survived by his paternal uncles John Bowman and his wife Mickey, Mark Bowman and his wife Kim, maternal uncles Tracy Ludwig, Clifford Ludwig, and many other aunts and uncles, nieces Trinity, Jenna, Taylor, Lisa, and Bobbi, nephews Ryder, Axel, Dylan, and PJ, several great nieces and great nephews, numerous cousins, his extended family Paula Tompkins, Josh, Brandon, and Peony, and many other friends.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at The Loom, 439 Waverly Street, Waverly, NY to share a meal and memories. The family is being assisted by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
Memorial donations may be made in Lance’s name to an animal shelter of your choice.
