Judith M. (Comfort) Morse

Judith “Judi” Morse, 80, of Horseheads, New York, passed away on November 21, 2024 with her loving husband by her side.

Judi was born in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Alma and Leland Bennett.

After attending Horseheads, Elmira Heights schools, Judi worked at several jobs including C&K Laundry, Bell’s Pantry, Cinema at the Arnot Mall and over 25 years at McDonalds in Horseheads.

In earlier years, Judi was an avid gardener; and loved to knit, crochet, and decorate cakes.  She also enjoyed camping, going to the casino, taking in live Country Music events – especially Jamboree in the Hills; Yankees, Mets and Elmira Pioneers Baseball; and bingo.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Morse; her children: Dion (Carole) Morse, Bobbie Jo Morse, and Tammy (Ray) Galavotti; grandchildren: Jeremy, Jessica, Jennifer, and Rosa; great grandchildren: Ava, Jeremy, Jr., Lillie and Lana; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Judi was predeceased by her brothers Ralph Comfort, Frank Comfort, Johnny Comfort; and grandson Joshua Morse.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being assisted by the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
