Joshua Sherman Saxon

Joshua Sherman Saxon, 47, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

He was born on May 3, 1977, in Sayre, PA, the son of Kevin and Josephine (Pica) Saxon.

Joshua was employed in the Maintenance Department at the CVS Warehouse Distribution Center in Waverly. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan and loved his dogs. His choice of a car and his love was always for Dodge Chargers. He was known by one and all for his unique laugh. During his high school career, Joshua wrestled for the Athens Youth Wrestling team.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Sherman and Elizabeth “Betty” Saxon, maternal grandparents Peter and Edna Pica, and his uncle Dr. Randall Saxon.

Joshua is survived by his daughter Kelsey Anthony, grandchildren Gemma and Deion, parents Kevin and Josephine Saxon, sisters and brothers-in-law Kelly and David Plouse and Jessica and Jason Sonnema, his twin brothers Ryan Saxon and Joseph Saxon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 11am-1pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 1pm with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.

Burial will be held at Hanlon Hill Cemetery at a later date.
