Jessie D. Ammerman

Jessie D. Ammerman, 49, of Waverly, NY, passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital.

He was born on June 10, 1976, the son of the late Jeffrey and Rosemary (Dickerson) Ammerman, who along with his brother, Curtis, have predeceased him.

Jessie had a heart of gold and loved his family. He was a true family man, and had a special bond with his nieces and nephews.

He liked going to the Dirt Stock Car Races, and Demolition Derbies. He was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State fan and enjoyed watching them. Jessie was known as a ladies’ man and enjoyed dancing and having a good time.

Jessie is survived by his brother; Dana (Teresa) Dickerson, his nephew; Cody (Jessica), niece; Lindsey (Justin), who was his caregiver, also Jared (Makenzie), and Braydon (Carley). He is also survived by his great-nieces and great-nephews; Aubree, Kaden, Nylah, Dawsen, Karsen, Icees, Annissa, and Kyris, aunts, uncles and many cousins, who were like brothers and sisters to him. His sister-in-law Jennifer Kitchin Ammerman also survives him.

A Celebration of Life for Jessie will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 5pm at the Bentley Creek Baptist Church, 13545 Berwick Turnpike, Gillett, PA. A time of sharing memories will follow the service until 9pm.The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
