Jane L. (Reynolds) Hibbard

Jane L. Hibbard, 92, of Athens, PA passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Sayre HealthCare Center with her family by her side.

She was born on December 9, 1931, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Slocum Reynolds.

Jane was an active member of Sayre Christian Church and loved listening and singing along to Christian music.  She enjoyed reading, quilting, and crafting and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jane will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rexford M. Hibbard, son Rexford M. Hibbard II, grandson Christopher Allen, and six brothers.

Jane is survived by her five daughters Cheryl Allen and her husband, William, Susan Lynch, Karen Allen, Mary Wallner and her husband, Mike, and LuAnn Raupers; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and two sisters Dorothy Wheeler and Betty Lattimer.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm at Sayre Christian Church, 427 S. Keystone Avenue, Sayre, PA. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm at the church with the Rev. Paula Krauss officiating.

Burial will follow in Tioga Point Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jane’s memory to Sayre Christian Church, 427 S. Keystone Avenue, Sayre, PA 18840. Please specify either the Memorial Fund or the Seed Faith Fund in the memo on your donation.
