James Reeve Obituary

James D. Reeve, age 69, of Ridgebury Township, passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2025.

He was born on March 29, 1956 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of Donald M. and Charlotte A. Werkheiser Reeve.

Jim was a 1974 graduate of Waverly High School.  In his early years, he enjoyed sailing and flying planes.  He was an avid Formula 1 fan and raced a chump car at Watkins Glen International racetrack, which he took great pride in.  A blue grass music fan, he loved going to the festivals with his wife and friends.  Jim looked forward to his yearly trip to a hunting camp in Virginia with his hunting buddies.  He enjoyed working on projects around the house and working with the respiratory students during his tenure as a respiratory therapist at Robert Packer Hospital.

He is predeceased by his father, Donald M. Reeve.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Barbara A. Shoener Reeve; mother, Charlotte A. Werkheiser Reeve; brothers and sisters-in law, Don and Patricia Reeve, Rob and Deanna Reeve, Tom and Kay Reeve; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Scott Fell; several nieces, nephews and friends.  Known as the cat whisperer, he also leaves behind his 12 rescue cats that he adored.  The family truly appreciates the special care that George Crowell has given to Jim over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
