James Robert Murray

James Robert Murray “AKA Jim Bo”,  passed away at home on July 11, 2026.

Jimmy was born on December 5, 1968, in Sayre, PA, to the late Joseph M. and Mary Agnes Murray.

Jimmy brought love and happiness to all of those in his life. He was an avid Yankees and Penn State Fan.

Jim is survived by his loving companion of the last 30 years, Michelle Bostwick of Sayre, PA and family; sisters and their spouses, Mary Beth Murray and companion Julie Karmlos of Perth, NY and Linda and Ken Park of Lockwood, NY; brothers and their spouses, Joseph Michael and Marshia Murray of Myrtle Beach, SC, Donald Murray of Waverly, NY, Thomas and Tammy Murray of Waverly, NY; nieces, Michelle and Barry Taylor of Millport, PA and family, Debbie and Christopher Pond of Sayre, PA and family, Donna Brown of Waverly, NY and family; nephew, Michael and Terri Rice and family; along with a long list of other family members and numerous friends.

Following Jim’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements in the care of Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James’ name to: Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main St., Athens, PA 18810 to help offset the cost of the funeral.
