Helen M. (MacNeal) Tracy

Helen M. Tracy, 93, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Sayre Health Care Center.

She was born on July 8, 1930, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Violet Hakes MacNeal and was the last surviving MacNeal in her family.

Helen loved her family dearly, and spending time with them. She was a hard worker and always gave her all to her employers. She was an example to her children and her family as a woman of strength and character. Helen never learned to drive and could be seen riding her bike everywhere she went. She loved horses and watching any type of bird. She enjoyed doing ceramics. If anyone ever asked her to bring the peas, she would flat out refuse as she didn’t want them anywhere near her. She was a member of the Red Hatter Society and the Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral Club, Inc. 

She is predeceased by her son Matt Tracy and daughter-in-law Louise Tracy, and sisters Ann Bond, Lois Stork, Janice Vallilee, and brother Mike MacNeal.

Helen is survived by her son Mark Tracy, daughter Donna Tracy, daughter and son-in-law Lori and Kenneth Brooker, many grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be announced at a later time. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
