Gerald “Jerry” William Johnson II, 63, of Towanda, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Towanda Memorial Personal Care Home.
He was born on May 1, 1961, the son of the late Gerald William and Juanita May (Francisco) Johnson.
“Jerry” as his friends called him enjoyed working on cars and small engines. Like his father, he liked working in his flower garden. He always enjoyed spending time outside, doing landscaping and just being out in nature. Much of his family knew him as “Beaver”, a nickname given to him as a child.
Jerry took great pride in serving his country in the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Donald and Esther Eddy and Leon and Olive Johnson, and maternal grandparents Theodore and Loretta Bork, special aunt Judy Whithey, uncles Duane Johnson and Dean Johnson.
Jerry is survived by his son Troy Johnson Harwood of Cedar Rapids, IA, granddaughters Hailey White of Platteville, WI and Autumn Delaney of Cedar Rapids, IA, brother Charles Johnson of Edinburg, VA, sister Susan Johnson of Gillett, PA, uncles Donald Eddy, Gary Eddy, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Graveside Interment will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Woodlawn National Cemetery, 1825 Davis Street, Elmira, NY.
