Esther M. (Morley) Geiger

Esther M. Geiger, 89, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at her home.

She was born on September 7, 1935, in Towanda, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert and Maude (Knowles) Morley.

Esther was a graduate of Athens High School, Class of 1955. She loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. Esther loved cooking and canning which she shared with her family and friends. Esther was a member of TOPS for many years and served as President. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears.

In addition to her parents, Esther is predeceased by her beloved husband; Earl M. Geiger, Jr., 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.             

Esther is survived by her children; Rebecca Howard, Susan (Charles) Blake, Cynthia (Kevin) Barnhart, Stanley (Holly) Geiger, Evelyn (John) McCallops, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brothers; Victor Morley, Robert Morley, Dean Morley, Jim Morley, sister; Janet Readenour, brothers-in-law; Ronald Geiger and Robert Geiger, sister-in-law Diane Geiger, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 10:30am – 11:30am at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.,225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 11:30am.

A private burial will be held in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
