Ed Patz

Ed Patz, age 74, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026.

He was born on March 1, 1952 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Manuel and June Patz.

Ed owned and operated Subway restaurant locations in Westminster and Eldersburg, Maryland for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Celeste Patz; two sons, Sam Patz and Aaron Patz; daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Josh Rumpff; grandchildren, Cora Patz, Chloe Patz, Matthew Patz and Henry Rumpff; sister, Eileen Newman; and a niece, Meredith Newman.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Amazing Kids Club, where his church meets every weekend, 1181 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.

The family was assisted by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
