Dwayne E. Colter

Dwayne E. Colter, 59, of Waverly, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at home.

He was born December 15, 1963, in New York City, NY the son of the late James and Julia Utsey Colter. 

Dwayne loved his family and was a person who would help anyone at any time no matter the circumstances. He enjoyed life no matter what he was doing, but especially going to church, attending BBQs, and even going to work! Dwayne was an avid NY Mets fan and loved all music but especially the Oldies but Goodies Music. He was a member of Greater Valley Assembly of God, Athens, PA.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandparents, brother James Colter, and cousin John Duley.

Dwayne is survived his daughter Julisa Colter, son Terry Torres, and grandchildren Julius D. Torres, Issac Torres, Isabella Torres, Aden Colter, Kylie Sejour, and Auribella Colter. He is also survived by his siblings Christine Colter, Debra Colter, Deidra Colter, Brian Colter, Ketrice Colter, Patrick Colter, Nay Nay Colter, Sheanna Colter, Deanna Colter, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 1pm-3pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 3pm with the Rev. Chris Gray officiating.
