Dorothy Ann (Schovitz) Tota

Dorothy Ann (Schovitz) Tota, 87, of Sayre, PA, formerly of Olyphant, PA, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Sayre Health Care following a brief illness.

She was born on November 13, 1937, in Old Forge, PA, the daughter of the late John and Stella (Mozdean) Schovitz.

Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and sewing. She was a member of the Catholic Community of the Epiphany.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband of 66 years of marriage; Ralph Tota, four siblings; John Schovitz, Joseph Schovitz, Marie Schovitz Pepsin, and Eleanor Schovitz Damiani, and her very special niece; Lisa Damiani Jackson.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter; Marisa Tota Hudak, grandsons and their spouses; Michael (Ashley) Hudak, and Mark (Kaitie) Hudak, great-grandchildren; Finn, Molly, Archer, and Lily, and many special nieces and nephews.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Epiphany Church on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 10:00am 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA with Fr. Daniel Toomey officiating.

Burial will be held privately for family at St. Patrick’s in Olyphant, PA at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to Catholic Community of the Epiphany, 304 S. Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA 18840 or Epiphany School, 627 Stevenson Street, Sayre, PA 18840.
