Doris F. (Foreman) Smith

Doris F. Smith, 87 of Athens, PA, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born on February 9, 1937, in Queens Long Island, NY to the late Sydney and Mae (Upton) Foreman.

Doris worked for the Ingersoll Rand, Athens, retiring after 43 years of being a dedicated and faithful employee. She enjoyed visiting the Casinos, bowling and taking trips. Doris was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Edward Smith, infant sister Irene Foreman, brother Robert Foreman, and stepfather Donald Guinane.

Doris is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and Gary Whitman, Sheila and Brian Covey, and Donna and Tracy Rosencrantz, grandchildren Michael Geiss, Tabatha Geiss, Nicholas Cameron, and Charitie Thornhill, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00am Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA with Fr. Shinu officiating.

Burial will follow in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
