Doris M. (Learn) Nichols

Doris M. Nichols, 97, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the Sayre Personal Care Home, in Sayre, following a period of declining health.

She was born on June 5, 1928, in Sheshequin, PA, the daughter of the late Dodd and Mary (Tomkins) Learn.

Doris was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting the holiday meals, picnics, and being with her family. Doris loved her children and grandchildren, and spending time with them was her most enjoyable times. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband; Kenneth, son; Harold Schrader, five brothers and four sisters.

Doris is survived by her children; Judith Bolt, Edward (Nancy) Schrader, Bonita (Terry) Brown, and Gloria (John) Douglas, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister; Hazel Bradley, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Athens, PA.

Burial will take place at Orange Hill Cemetery, Athens, at a later date.
