Donald A. Townsand

Donald A. Townsand, 75, of Sayre, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Robert Packer Hospital.

He was born on December 24, 1945, in Chemung, NY, the son of the late Ernest and Florence (Setzer) Townsand. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald “Buck” Townsand.

Throughout his working career, Donald was employed at many local foundries and for the South Waverly Borough Hall. He had a passion for restoring antique cars and enjoyed attending local car shows.

Donald is survived by his son Ricky Townsand, his daughter Sandy Townsand, grandchildren Calista Townsand, Jacob Townsand, and Sydney English, brothers Gerald and Kenneth “Joe” Townsand, sister Marlene Coyle, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and close friend Fran Campbell.

A time of visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 12pm-2pm at Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Burial will follow in Chemung Cemetery.
