Donald M. Green

Donald M. Green, 71, of Lusby, MD passed away Thursday September 14, 2023 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born February 2, 1952, in Fort Worth, TX the son of the late Rev. Donald and Maryalice (Mowry) Green.

Donald loved spending time with his family, especially his boys.  He enjoyed farming with his brothers and fishing.  Donald graduated from Sayre High School in 1970.  He was a Marine veteran serving during the Vietnam era.  Donald worked at Patuxent Naval Air Base as a helicopter mechanic and quality inspector for 26 years.  His name is on the CH46 Phrog helicopter at the Patuxent Museum.

He is predeceased by his in-laws Roland (June) McPherson.  Donald is survived by his loving wife Vicky of 40 years, his sons Ryan Green and Aaron Green, siblings Kelly(Everett) Gorsline of Athens, Karen Ferguson of Colorado Springs, CO, David Green of Sayre, PA, John Green of Sayre, PA, Danielle (Danny) Gallagan of S. Waverly, PA, Norma (Kevin) Lacey of Lynchburg, VA, Dale McPherson of Endicott, NY, Richard (Annette) McPherson of Apalachin, NY, Tom (June) McPherson of Maine, NY, David McPherson of Lusby, MD, and Roland (Laurie) McPherson of Syracuse, NY, aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his dog Jade.

Friends and family may call Tuesday September19, at 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 S. Main St. Athens, PA.  Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home with the Rev. John Green officiating.
