Dolly M. Taylor

Dolly Marie Taylor, 91, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Sayre Health Care Center following an extended illness.

She was born on July 29, 1933 in Sayre, PA.

One of Dolly’s greatest accomplishments, was her drive and dedication to become a nurse. She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed taking and having pictures of them in her home. Dolly loved being around her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting the different and learning the history of covered bridges. She also enjoyed playing the organ.

Dolly is predeceased by her beloved husband; Howard Taylor, daughter; Charmaine Lea Hull, step-daughter; Ruth Weingartner, step-son; Howard Wayne Taylor, brother-in-law Calvin Taylor, and brother and sister-in-law; Russ and Dora Jane Anderson.

Dolly is survived by her granddaughter and her husband; Kim and Eric Scheler of New Albany, PA, granddaughter and her fiancé, whose wedding is this weekend that Dolly was so looking forward to; Eryn Weingartener and Rich Slusser, grandson and his wife; Dustin and Louise Weingartener, granddaughter; Bethany Taylor, great-grandchildren Clayton, Amberly, Elton, Drake, Keegan, Carsen, Dawsin, and Hudson. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and his wife; Bob and Joyce Taylor, sister-in-law and her husband; Joan and Chuck Pearce, sister-in-law; Karen Taylor, brother-in-law; John Taylor, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 2pm at the Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
