Delmar W. Clark III, 66, of Sayre, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA.
Delmar was born in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Delmar Wallace, Jr. and Betty L. (Brown) Clark.
For many years, Delmar fought the battle of addiction but in 2003, he began his journey of recovery, he was determined to live a clean and healthy life. Since 2008, Delmar stood proud that he had turned his life around in so many ways, including being drug free. He was able to see his grandchildren born, help to take care of his mother during her illness, and became his sister’s best friend.
Delmar loved rock and roll music, especially Led Zeplin. He loved people and visiting at any time. He loved to walk which always took longer as he would stop and visit with anyone he met along the way. He had a positive outlook on life and always wanted to cheer anyone up who was not having a good day. His outlook was that we should cherish each moment we were given and there was always something positive to discover in every day.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother-in-law Daniel Ellis, and many good friends. Delmar is survived by his daughter Desiree (Kenny) Clark of Johnson City, NY, 5 grandchildren Adam Clark, Emilee Ann Clark, William Clark, Sapphire Clark, and Delmar W. Clark IV, great-great-grandson Alexander Clark, sister Darlene Ellis of Nichols, NY, and numerous friends.
A Memorial Service was held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 8:00pm at Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA with the Rev. Robert Nacci officiating.
Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery at the convenience of family.
